Can This Really Work?

Simple Concept
At first glance the whole concept of using items in your cupboard to make
cleaning products seems, well, just too simple, yet this is not new
information.  Vinegar alone has been around for thousands of years and
in earlier generations was a staple in most homes for consumption and
cleaning. It was used faithfully to clean:

windows,
remove adhesive,
cut grease
and shine glassware.

As we got busier, our cleaning products became more numerous and
more specific—and were packaged for convenience. In an effort to be
new and improved we accepted the substitution of natural cleaning
ingredients with man made derivatives. The supermarket shelves are
now lined with niche products that often perform, but at what price?

High Risk
Today's homes contain an alarming variety of harmful household
cleaners
. More and more people are finding they have become sensitive
to chemical products they were once able to use, causing increasing
concern about long term exposure. Baking soda and vinegar are just two
ingredients that you can use to replace chemicals in your home. They
worked for our grandmothers, and they will still work today.

Why This Works
Baking Soda
Baking soda is a natural substance made from sodium carbonate, soda
ash or sodium bicarbonate.  Baking soda's mild abrasive action and natural
deodorizing properties make it a powerful replacement for harsh
commercial scouring powders. The uses for baking soda are endless.
Check out this
reference book , Resourceful & Ingenious Uses of Baking
Soda
, which includes tips and ideas for using baking soda in your daily
cleaning household tasks.

Vinegar
The acetic acid in vinegar kills viruses, germs, bacteria and mold.  It's also a
natural deodorizer and is effective in dissolving
dirt and soap scum. Vinegar also dissolves tough
mineral deposits and stains like those
found in sinks, toilets and tubs.

Benefits of Cleaning With Natural Ingredients

The Economical Way to
Go Green When you Clean
According to the
U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency,
the air inside the
typical home is on
average 2-5 times
more polluted than
the air just outside.
And, in extreme
cases the typical
home is 100 times
more contaminated
largely because of
household
cleaners and
pesticides.
